Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park
Also known as Underground River National Park, is one of the most important
biodiversity conservation areas of the Philippines. The river beneath
the cliffs is with about eight kilometers the longest in the world, four
kilometers of which can be discovered by boat with a guide, equipped with
a flash light. It is a fascinating world of stalactites and stalagmites,
surrounded by vine-draped, orchid-filled forests, concealing birds, butterflies
and bats.
